Missed Admission Deadlines?

The Houston private school admission season begins in September with open houses and ends in April when enrollment contracts are signed. However, places may still be available at good schools. Often admission offices will call me during the summer to let me know they have a few places open in certain grades.

When parents call from over seas, out of state, or just out of town, and say they are moving to Houston, SCHOOL SOLUTIONS is almost always able to find a right fit for their children. We handle the complex admission steps from long distances almost as though the family lived in Houston. FaceTime interviews and email provide virtual offices until the time families can make a visit to Houston to see schools. The number of Houston schools offering I-20 enrollment is increasing, so that improves options for students. We also have a fluent Spanish speaker available for clients by appointment.

Two of the busiest months for SCHOOL SOLUTIONS are April and May when local families who missed applying to private schools decide they want to make a change. These are also prime months when corporate executives move to Houston. We try to conclude our placement work for these families by mid-May so students will have the opportunity for a classroom visit. However, every year we are still finding places for families as late as the first week of school.
